I’m in the process of upgrading — all my images are gone, but they will be back! It’s late and I’m tired and I’ll get to it in the morning.
I can cross one more thing off my to-do list: Isys bought some Bloodlust Gauntlets!
I’m disappointed that Isys paid 12g for them — which is 10g more than the Allakhazam recommended price. Thing is, the gloves are level 50 and I don’t know when they’re going to be up at the Auction House again. She might not need them when she finally gets them, and I really wanted one complete set of something. So, she spent 12g in hopes that she’d make it up later on.
Currently, Isys is in Un’Goro Crater digging through Un’Goro soil, picking Bloodpetal Sprouts, and avoiding Devilsaurs. Two of them, Tyrant Devilsaur and an Ironhide Devilsaur, thought they’d get a drop on me while I picked off Diemetredons and Pterodaxes — but I managed to escape without them seeing me. Still, it was awfully creepy.
I’ve already planned out my next few levels: 51-54 will be spent in Un’Goro and Felwood; 54-58 will have to be the Burning Steppes; and 58-60 will be the Plaguelands and Winterspring. I did level up to 51 in Burning Steppes dying three times trying to kill Gor’tesh, I got frustrated and stomped off to the Crater. I like Un’goro Crater anyways — a hell of a lot more than I do Searing Gorge. *raspberry*
I have a few quests for Felwood right now, but it’s too hard to do alone right now. I’ll be back soon though to whoop some Satyr butt!
This is a non-Hunter post, but still relevant. *grin*
I’ve been running around Outland for the past few months (I’m a slow leveler) and I’ve come across only two monsters that have literally made my skin crawl. Only two because 1) that’s all I’ve actually come across and 2) I haven’t progressed much farther in the Outland to name anymore. -_-’
Xeleth: Yuck — we came upon this guy wandering around Zangarmarsh, rather we came across his corpse. He’s a level 70…uh…fish-like thing that has two rows of teeth and beady little eyes. Judging from the comments at Thottbot, this beast isn’t too hard to kill. That doesn’t stop him from being terrifying.
The Terrokarantula: Oh my god! No! Not a giant spider! I’m too young to be wrapped up and drained of my life fluids! We actually had to fight this thing — took up my entire screen! I don’t like spiders as it is, but this guy made the skin on my neck prickle. We survived and vowed never to piss him off again.
Uber Huntress Mania has written a post about level 10 pets to get around Durotar — including the Corrupted Mottled Boar!
Iriannis has her first pet - a Corrupted Mottled Boar:

It was quite a story getting her. I had no idea that only one of these boars roamed around Durotar. I searched up and down the river between Durotar and the Barrens looking for this boar, but only found one. Unfortunately, she was level 11 and I was about eight bars away from getting to that level. Taming that one was out of the question for now. I tried grinding on the crocs, raptors and regular mottled boars around that area whilst keeping the Corrupted one on radar, but I couldn’t level up fast enough. I figured it would be quicker to kill that one and take my chances on a level 10 re-spawning than it would to grind my way to 11. Plus, someone could run by and tag her before I had the chance. Down she went.
My trick paid off — to my joy, the next CMB that spawned was a level 10! As I ran up to tame her, a Scorpid attacked and killed me. I rushed back to my body to find her north of where I died, standing among a bevy of raptors. I ran in, tamed her, and stuffed her face with a few hunks of Dalaran Sharp that I previously got from Silvermoon City.
I named her Muffin, after a pot-bellied piglet I used to have. =(
Speaking of Silvermoon City, have you noticed the sculpture above the Hunter Trainer’s place?
Can’t get much more suggestive than that!
Meet Patches, the Felpaw Scavenger:

It’s a bit small, so click on the thumbnail to enlarge.
I went with this dog rather than an Ember Worg like I originally planned because I already had an upright dog and now wanted a hunched version. Plus, one look at him and its enough to make your heart ache.
Winter Veil is here!
I’ve never been thrilled with any Azerothian holidays other than Children’s Week. (Nothing says fun like running a child around the hellish fire pits of the Searing Gorge, right?) Winter Veil, like Christmas, just makes me ornery and bah-humbuggy. Greatfather Winter never gives Isys what she wants (”A pony! A pony!” “But Isys, you have a Riding Tiger already!”) and the shopping centres around Ironforge just seem over-commercialized and contrived to me. I thought Winter Veil was the season of giving, not getting! So why does everyone hound GFW with their gift lists?
Not that I’m without my Winter Veil wants either. Isys already has plenty of gimmes:
- The entire Bloodlust set. With level 50 close at hand, Isys would love a great set of scarlet armor. I don’t think red is an appropriate color for such an peppy personality, but it does look pretty bad ass.
- A great pair of Corpse Harvesters. Isys is an Axe aficionado and would prefer a nice, shiny set to carry around.
- A new puppy. I don’t know what happened, but Luther started really lagging behind. I thought he was keeping up with me in terms of XP, but he has slowed down considerably. I already have a name picked out for the Ember Worg.
I hope to hit level 50 by tomorrow. Then I will go shopping!
