The worst thing about rolling a new Hunter is that you’re suddenly without any money — none at all actually. By the time you get to level ten and you need to buy, say, five more Tough Jerkies to feed your first pet, you wish you hadn’t spent your last 10c on repairing your crappy beginning-level gear.

Without further adieu, let me introduce a pair of very broke Hunters: Moolah and Mereyn.

Good: Isys has gone up two levels and is now bordering on level 60 (a milestone still). I got my pet Frostsaber Matriarch and named her Sleet.
Bad: I have to call it quits on the Bloodlust set, for I am too high for it to matter. *Sigh*

Isys has is now almost completely decked out in her Bloodlust set — I’m missing a few more pieces but I will get them! When I have completed the set, I’ll post the image. Right now, she looks kinda dumpy in a beige chest piece surrounded by scarlet. Ah well, she never was much into fashion. =P

I’ve decided to tame a Frostsaber Huntress when I get to level 58 (only a few bars away). It dawned on me that the reason why I rolled a Hunter in the first place is because of that white tiger. I remember being a low-level Druid and watching in jealousy as a Dwarf ran past with a beautiful white cat. I knew right then and there I wanted one! I’ve got a name picked out and am working on getting a nice catch of food for her.

I went with the Huntress instead of the Stalker because I really don’t have much use for Prowl. I once tamed a Ridge Stalker with this ability and all that I noticed was that my cat couldn’t keep up with me in terms of speed. This is what ultimately led me to release him into the wild and tame a Wolf. The Huntress’ skill of Dash 3 works just fine.

I’ve finally found the time to play WoW between homework and personal issues. Isys is bound to hit 60 sometime this week and then I can work on leveling the others! Yay!

Iriannis has her first pet - a Corrupted Mottled Boar:

Iri and Muffin

It was quite a story getting her. I had no idea that only one of these boars roamed around Durotar. I searched up and down the river between Durotar and the Barrens looking for this boar, but only found one. Unfortunately, she was level 11 and I was about eight bars away from getting to that level. Taming that one was out of the question for now. I tried grinding on the crocs, raptors and regular mottled boars around that area whilst keeping the Corrupted one on radar, but I couldn’t level up fast enough. I figured it would be quicker to kill that one and take my chances on a level 10 re-spawning than it would to grind my way to 11. Plus, someone could run by and tag her before I had the chance. Down she went.

My trick paid off — to my joy, the next CMB that spawned was a level 10! As I ran up to tame her, a Scorpid attacked and killed me. I rushed back to my body to find her north of where I died, standing among a bevy of raptors. I ran in, tamed her, and stuffed her face with a few hunks of Dalaran Sharp that I previously got from Silvermoon City.

I named her Muffin, after a pot-bellied piglet I used to have. =(

Speaking of Silvermoon City, have you noticed the sculpture above the Hunter Trainer’s place?

Ranger Sculpture

Can’t get much more suggestive than that!

Meet Patches, the Felpaw Scavenger:

Patches
Isys felt sorry for the little guy, all diseased with Fel-sickness, and gave him the appropriate name of Patches. Though he didn’t come with any known skills, he now knows Bite, Growl, and Ferocious Howl. He’s not Isys’ best friend yet and requires a Roasted Quail after every battle almost. But give them time and I’m sure they’ll be close pals. Here’s a picture of them together, finding Courser Antlers for a Hunter quest in Azshara:
Isys and Patches

It’s a bit small, so click on the thumbnail to enlarge.
I went with this dog rather than an Ember Worg like I originally planned because I already had an upright dog and now wanted a hunched version. Plus, one look at him and its enough to make your heart ache.
